Burmese Relief Center--Japan
BurmaInfo (Burma Information Network) works to inform the Japanese public, members of the Diet and other policy-makers, and members of the press about Burma to advocate for grassroots and institutional support for a free Burma. BurmaInfo runs the largest online clearinghouse for information in Japanese about Burma, with hundreds of documents on current events, human rights, and development issues.
Burmese Relief Center--Japan organizes high-profile events and initiatives to attract the attention of the Japanese media and public. BRC-J works closely with major international campaigns that support democracy in Burma as well as with organizations in Japan, such as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, People's Forum on Burma, and Japan Lawyer's Network for Refugees. The Director of BRC-J also takes a delegation every year to the Thai-Burma border to assess the situation, to deliver relief supplies, and to offer assistance.
